Wikihouse
3rd Year Design Studio | Workplace | 2016
In response to the brief, which is to explore the possibilities of the 21st century work place through untethering the users physically, mentally and digitally,
this project explores different ways that human beings can interact with the
building.
The aim of this project is to create an exchange hub that provides the
public with knowledge and services of Wikihouse, as well as promoting its brand
to their potential clients.
With collaborative and agile working becoming increasingly important in office
cultures, it is crucial to be able to encourage interaction between the users of
the space in more interesting ways. This has been taken into consideration in
different spaces, such as having different interactive wall panels that connect
both sides of the partition visually or physically, which would be a subtle
and more interesting way to connect people on each side.
Furthermore,
untethering alternative workspaces that allows for interaction with the building
elements have been designed to encourage the employees to work in more
areas than their designated work stations, and also to create inspiring moments
while interacting with one another.
